Dear Sleepy Hollow Families,
Sleepy Hollow had a fantastic week filled with positivity and growth! It's wonderful to hear about the emphasis on kindness, strong student attendance, and the warm welcome extended to new students. Creating a supportive and inclusive school community is crucial for fostering a conducive learning environment.
Acknowledging the role of families in supporting the school's efforts is important too; collaboration between educators and families is key to student success. It's evident that the collective effort of everyone involved is making a difference in shaping a vibrant and nurturing educational experience at Sleepy Hollow.
May this momentum continue, and may each week bring even more opportunities for learning, growth, and community building.

♥ Kindness, Gratitude, and Perseverance ♥
Virginia Kindness Week
Last week, our students demonstrated kindness, gratitude and perseverance. We enjoyed tokens of sweetness from students and staff. Ms. Lobo checked in on classrooms for students earning prizes by showing kindness and our multilingual students continue to showcase their talents in reading, writing, listening and speaking English through the WIDA assessments. Our learners have an opportunity to demonstrate their learning through these four domains over the course of January to March. We are appreciative of our ESOL teachers who plan, organize, and administer over 1,000 assessments! Thank you!
