Good afternoon,
This week Mr. Williams has been giving shout-outs on the morning announcements to classes who have been following expectations in the cafeteria and hallways. Also pictured below are some photos from Ms. Lee's morning meeting and Ms.Vickers' mystery reader.
As a reminder, tomorrow evening is our Kids Heart Challenge from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Union Mill! More details below. Next week, our PTA will be holding it's monthly membership meeting virtually on Tuesday, February 27th.

Kids Heart Challenge
 It is finally here! This Thursday, February 22, from 5:00 -7:00 pm is the Kids Heart Challenge event! The event will run as an open house so you can come at any point during those two hours. Students do not need to register to attend, but if you would like to register with the American Heart Association, please click here. Our website will close on Monday. The heart hero characters will be sent home next week. The post-event prizes (jump ropes, t-shirts, playground ball, socks, etc) will arrive in about 3 weeks.
Two Smooth Dudes and Frothy Mug food trucks will be on site for your family to purchase dinner or snacks before, during, or after the activities. They offered so many delicious items at Math Night. We are looking forward to having them join us again.

Kindergarten Orientation
Save the date! Union Mill’s Kindergarten Orientation for rising Kindergarteners is right around the corner! Join us on Tuesday, April 2 from 2:45 – 3:45 pm. April 2nd is a student holiday for current FCPS students. We are excited to meet our upcoming Kindergarteners.
Our registrar, Stephanie Kohout, is currently accepting registration paperwork. If you have not been in contact with her, please email snkohout@fcps.edu with your child’s date of birth and your address of residence. Stephanie will respond with the registration details and documents necessary to start the process. Please don’t wait until summer to register your kindergarteners.
Order Your Yearbook Now!
Orders are open for 2023-2024 yearbooks. Families may place online orders at www.buytheyearbook.com and enter School ID# 719478. Yearbooks are $15.69 each and the deadline to order is April 19, 2024.
Don't miss your chance to order this year’s yearbook! There will not be extras available at the end of the year.
*Families who may have ordered a yearbook earlier in the year should have received a receipt from Yearbooklife.
