Fairfax Academy Receives Social Media Communication Award: For the Fairfax Academy social media accounts, new Career Experience Specialist Amy Hard focuses on bringing surprise, fun, branding, and creativity to content. She posts consistently, creates fun reels (some she is in herself), and is diligent about highlighting the diverse programs and people across the Academy.

“The most meaningful thing about Fairfax Academy was having not just a TEACHER, but a LIFE MENTOR by my side every day. It sparked this fire in me and made me realize a creative career is attainable if you love it enough. Without Academy, I wouldn't have found my love for creating with my hands. I was surrounded with like-minded peers, an insanely creative room to escape that "normal" high school day in, and abundant inspiration. My teacher, Jin-A Chang, would tell us every day that we were going to be world changers- that has stuck with me through it all."
Instruction 2 Industry: A Career Expo for High School Students!
Students can register now for regional career exploration events. Didn't get to attend the virtual sessions last week? An in-person career fair will be held at the Dulles Expo Center on Saturday, February 17. Students will learn about a wide variety of potential career paths and post-secondary options.

iContact Coaching, a Fairfax Academy Ignite Partner, is looking for student choreoegraphers to be part of their directing team for the Mantua Elementary Drama Program’s 4th - 6th grade spring production of The Aristocats.
