feeder visit

Hello Stone Panther Families,

It was a busy week at Stone Middle School as our Student Services team hosted our annual curriculum Night event and all five feeder elementary schools came to Stone for a visit. Our Stone Leadership students guided rising 7th graders all over the building visiting classrooms and answering questions.

We finished our week at Liberty Middle School where our girls and boys basketball teams took on the Liberty Lions. Both boys basketball teams were victorious! Our Stone Panthers made me very proud with their positive cheering and behaviors in the stands. Just know, Liberty is getting ready for a re-match. So please mark your calendars for Friday February 23rd!

Thank you to all parents who use Kiss N Ride. We appreciate your patience as we enforce our Kiss N Ride procedures. Please remember it is very dangerous to drop your student off on Sully Park Dr and make a U Turn in the street. We want to ensure all students arrive safely and get home safely as well.

Throughout this week, counselors will be visiting several feeder elementary schools guiding students through the course registration process for next school year. We look forward to meeting all our new Panthers!

Let’s have a great week Panthers!

Sonya Williams

Principal

💌National School Counseling Week

counselors have heart

Stone Counselors Are All Heart!

On Thursday, School Counselors hosted their 5th Coffee with the Counselor workshop for parents/guardians. February’s discussion included conversation on stress management and coping strategies as well as a guest appearance from Amy Young, Social Worker, on when professional help might be needed and how to find mental health resources.

We are excited to announce that this was our first recorded session for those who could not attend or would like to review the presentation. We hope to see you at next month’s Coffee with the Counselor which will take place on March 7, 2024 at 9:15 am and will focus on supporting students with Appropriate Technology Use.
