Call for Yearbook Ads

Do you represent or own a local business? Are you looking to reach out to more families in our community?   If so, please consider making a donation to Kilmer Center and supporting our school community. 

Our school is now accepting ad submissions for our yearbook.  Be on the lookout for the yearbook ad form in backpacks.  Email Kathleen Hammerle at kehammerle@fcps.edu for more information.

Art and Music Show

 

Save the Date: Art and Music Show    

Kilmer Center School will be holding our annual Art and Music show on Friday May 17, 2024.  Musical performances will be from 10-11 and the art exhibitions will open 30 minutes before and after the performances.  More details to come

The dates for the 2024 sessions of Extended School Year services have been confirmed.  Students will attend July 1 – July 26 (July 4-5 are holidays).  Student hours are 7:45-10:45.  

 

SIBSHOPS: An Exciting, In-person Workshop for Brothers and Sisters of Children with Special Needs! 

The Sibshop workshops are for children in grades 2-6 enrolled in Fairfax County Public Schools who have siblings with special needs to:

Meet other siblings in a relaxed setting.
Celebrate the many contributions made by brothers and sisters of children with special needs.
Share sibling experiences and receive peer support.
Play games and have fun!
March 2, 2024, 9 a.m.- noon at Providence Community Center

ABA Family Training
Teaching Self-Help and Independent Skills

This workshop is intended for parents of students with the low incidence
disabilities of Autism and Intellectual Disabilities.

Topics covered will include:
▪ How to teach:
o Social Activities
o Self-help and living skills
▪ How to use visuals to facilitate independence
