It's National School Counselors Week !
Our school counselor, Mrs. Dougherty, is phenomenal. She works with students in a variety of ways, whether through classroom lessons, group sessions, lunch bunches or individual counseling. She is always there to lend a helping hand for students, staff and families. Mrs. Dougherty is always full of school spirit as seen below! She is one of kind.
Counselors help students build confidence, encourage strong study skills, and provide educational support to transition successfully to the next grade, handle stress and increase resiliency to name a few. Learn more about the role of school counselors in FCPS.
Please encourage your child(ren) to make a card, write a thank you note, or just take a moment to let her know how much she is appreciated!
