February 5-9 is National School Counseling Week! At Clermont, and we are very fortunate to have Paula Treger and Joseph Gayl as our school counselors. On any given day you can find them teaching classroom lessons, working with small groups, lending an ear to students one-on-one, and collaborating with staff and families to make sure every student has the tools they need to reach their full potential. Thank you to Mrs. Treger and Mr. Gayl for helping to establish a culture of kindness, resilience, and belonging at Clermont! Learn more about the role of school counselors in FCPS.
Next week, Clermont will be celebrating Belonging Week. Students will be participating in activities each day to promote community-building and inclusivity among all grade levels. Some of the activities include identifying groups that we belong to (our families, our school, sports team, etc). Students will also consider what they can do to help others feel a sense of belonging.
If your child will be joining Clermont for Kindergarten in the fall, please join us on March 19th at 4:45 pm for Kindergarten Orientation. Your rising kindergarten student is welcome to join us! (Parents should be prepared to show a valid ID upon entry.)
If you have questions about kindergarten registration, or if you have decided to defer a year and need to notify us, please contact Katie Simmons at kesimmons@fcps.edu.

The greeting for Mardi Gras in French translates to "let the good times roll"! And that is just what we want to do. After a successful return last year, the Clermont Elementary PTA Silent Auction will return in 2024!!!! The event will be held at the beautiful ALX atrium in Alexandria (on the corner of Washington and Duke Streets) on Saturday March 9th at 6:00pm! There will be a live band (Diplomatic Immunity), plenty of delicious food and great drinks. The PTA Silent Auction is one of our largest fundraising events of the year. It allows the PTA to sponsor a vast number of programs throughout the year that benefit ALL Clermont students, including Enrichment Programs, School Field Trips, Classroom Instructional Supplies, New Technology, Assemblies, and more. Please click on the "Tickets" tab in the link to purchase your pass to this event and let the good times roll!
