 1st graders are learning about being creative and critical thinkers in STEAM class and engaging in many fun activities to apply their skills!

We have had another great week at Bucknell Elementary School! Casey Trees came back to continue the learning around the trees that were planted in the Fall and last year. Students in 5th and 6th grade discussed the different types of trees, analyzed which they liked the most by their characteristics and made observations to determine the health of the trees and what they need to grow. We’re so grateful for our partnership with Casey Trees and the lasting impact that this project will have on our Bucknell school grounds.
As you might have noticed, Progress Reports were sent home in Thursday folders this week. Please make sure to review with your child. If you have any questions, our teachers are ready to connect with families around students’ progress.

¡Hemos tenido otra gran semana en la Escuela Primaria Bucknell! Casey Trees regresó para continuar el aprendizaje en torno a los árboles que se plantaron en el otoño y el año pasado. Los alumnos de 5º y 6º de primaria discutieron los diferentes tipos de árboles, analizaron cuáles les gustaron más por sus características e hicieron observaciones para determinar la salud de los árboles y lo que necesitan para crecer. Estamos muy agradecidos por nuestra asociación con Casey Trees y el impacto duradero que este proyecto tendrá en los terrenos de nuestra escuela de Bucknell.
Como habrás notado, los informes de progreso se enviaron a casa en carpetas de jueves esta semana. Por favor, asegúrese de revisar con su hijo. Si tiene alguna pregunta, nuestros maestros están listos para conectarse con las familias sobre el progreso de los estudiantes.

Superintendent to Present FY 2025 Proposed Budget
Superintendent Dr. Michelle Reid will present the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Proposed Budget at the School Board meeting on Thursday, February 8, at 7:30 p.m. Dr. Reid’s presentation, as well as other budget documents, will be available after she presents to the board.

Want to know if your child's bus is on schedule or where the bus is? Here Comes the Bus® is an easy-to-use website and app that enables parents to see the location of their child’s school bus — almost in real time — on a smartphone, tablet, or personal computer.
Parents can track multiple buses if their children don’t all ride the same bus; know exactly when children arrive at school or the bus stop; and receive customized text and/or email notifications about bus locations, schedule changes, or delays.
