Survey of Preschool Children 

If you have a preschool-aged child who is eligible for kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year, please use this link to access the form. Return completed forms to the office no later than February 29, 2024. (If you have already returned a completed form to the school, you do not need to do another one).

If you know of any children in your neighborhood who also have rising kindergartners, please share this information or ask them to reach out to Pattie Ono, Registrar, at 703-262-7400.

Virginia law, Section 22.1-254 requires that children who will reach their fifth birthday on or before September 30, 2024, must enroll in kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year. If your child turns five on or before 09/30/2024 and you do not wish to enroll him/her in kindergarten, please let us know in writing.

The form can be submitted to Pattie Ono via email or by dropping it off at the main office.

Elementary Magnet School Application Information

The Magnet Program registration window will be open from Tuesday, March 5, through Friday, April 12, 2024.  No late applications are accepted.

To learn more about the programs and the registration process, families are encouraged to attend one of the Parent Information Nights:

• Bailey’s Upper, February 6, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. (Virtual only)
• Hunters Woods Elementary, February 12, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. (In-person)
• Snow date: February 26, 2024 at 5:30 p.m.
• Bailey’s Primary, February 13, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. (In-person)
• Snow date: February 21, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.

The FCPS Career and Technical Education (CTE) office is once again planning engaging summer enrichment programs for students!  For our current Kindergarten - 5th grade students, we have Tech Adventure Camp.  For our current 6th to 11th grade students, we have CTE Summer Academy.  Please see links below for more information and how to register.
