Fairfax Symphony Orchestra Visit

FSO

Our 4th graders enjoyed a visit from FSO’s Assistant Conductor, John Murton. He and one of the FSO bassists taught us all about how the orchestra can use unusual instruments such as an anvil, bike horns, or even toy instruments to create music. 4th graders even got to do some of their own conducting with real conductor’s batons! Thank you, FSO, for your ongoing partnership!

100th Day of School!

100th Day

The 100th day of school will take place Thursday February 8th. Our countdown provides an incredible opportunity for many cross-curricular activities such as counting forward and counting down, ways to make 100 and using operations in base 10, creating list of 100 things, and sharing 100 reasons why we love being Wildcats.

Students are encouraged to think of ways they can represent 100 - that could be in how you dress, bringing in a collection of 100 items, or being able to share or add to a 100 list.

We can’t wait to celebrate the 100th day of school with our Wildcats!

We are excited to share our spring club schedule. Clubs will run on Thursdays from 4:20-5:15. Each club will be run by a teacher or parent. Forms were sent home in Thursday folders.
