Second graders enjoying their poetry cafe! Students have been working on writing poetry during Language Arts, and today they each read an original poem in front of classmates as they enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate!
SEL Screener
The spring Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Screener will be administered to students in grades 3-6 between Feb 26-Mar 15. Students use the SEL Screener twice a year to share their perspectives on how well their school and community help them develop skills they need to succeed. The screener works by asking questions or presenting statements that students can think about and respond to. More information is available about the SEL Screener by accessing this link:

February 5-9 is National School Counseling Week, and highlights the tremendous impact school counselors have in helping students achieve academic, social/emotional success and college/career planning. We are thankful for Mrs. Buesing and Ms. Barry and all they do for our Cubbies! |
Dismissal Announcement for Families of Walkers
If your child is registered as a walker, but you drive them home from school after meeting at the walker dismissal door, please remember to park your car off campus and walk to your car with your child(ren).
We have had an increased number of walkers crossing through our kiss 'n ride line this year, as well as cars entering into the parking lot close to dismissal time and driving opposite traffic to park. These instances are creating unsafe situations, both for our pedestrians as well as for other drivers who may be trying to leave the parking lot at that time.
