Lunar New Year - February 10th
The Lunar New Year is a holiday that marks the first new moon of the lunisolar calendar, which is the calendar traditionally used in many east Asian countries including China, Vietnam, Singapore, and South Korea. In these and other Asian countries, it is one of the most important holidays of the year.

Black History Month
Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history.

Career and Technical Education Month
By enrolling in a Career and Technical Education (CTE) course or program, students learn the technical applications of many occupations while preparing for higher education or entry-level employment. A core program of CTE courses is offered in every middle and high school including Business and Information Technology, Family and Consumer Sciences, Health and Medical Sciences, Marketing, Technology and Engineering Education, and Trade and Industrial Education. Since this is an elective, course offerings may vary by school. Learn more on the CTE website.

National School Counseling Week (2/5 - 2/9)

February 5-9 is National School Counseling Week, and highlights the tremendous impact school counselors have in helping students achieve academic success and planning for a career.

Crossing Guard Appreciation Day (CGAD) is a statewide event devoted to saying thank you to those who help students cross the street safely on their way to and from school.

STICK STRONG WITH VIV Girls Lacrosse Clinic - Fundraiser for Vivian Seay
We invite you to a girls youth lacrosse clinic as we Stick Strong with Viv and raise money for her treatment costs! The clinic will be coached by high school lacrosse players from five local schools, including Robinson, Lake Braddock, South County, West Springfield & Woodson.
Date: February 24th, 2024
Location: nZone, 14550 Lee Rd, Chantilly, VA
Grades: K-4 from 6-7:30 pm 5-8 from 7:30-9 pm
*ALL proceeds will go towards Vivian's medical treatment.

IB Information Night for Families of Rising 11th Graders - In-person on February 8th
The International Baccalaureate at Robinson is a program of studies that is highly engaging, rigorous and asks students to be at the heart of the learning. Students will learn not only how to understand complex information and skills, but also how those skills and content apply to the larger world.
The Robinson IB Coordinators for the IB Diploma Program (grades 11 and 12) will be presenting information about the program on Thursday, February 8th, 2024, at 7PM. This in-person (not virtual) meeting will be at Robinson Secondary School in Davala Hall. A recording to accompany presentation materials will be emailed after the meeting.
During the session at Robinson, IB Coordinators will be sharing information about the IB courses available to 11th and 12th graders as well as the IB Diploma requirements. Don't miss our middle school musical, Matilda Jr.! Over 150 middle school and high school actors and technicians have worked tirelessly since November to bring you this high-energy production full of catchy songs, surprising dance numbers, and a story worth telling.
