Haycock Hello 1.29.24

friends

Dear Haycock Families,

We are excited as the third quarter begins today.

Our band students put on two great concerts last week.  It was super to hear the musical progress they have made thanks to Ms. Parrell, Ms. Davidson, and Mr. Zimmerman, our wonderful Haycock band teachers. We even had some of our staff members sit in with the band and play their instrument!

This week, we said good-bye to one our instructional assistants, Ms. Elizabeth Shoemaker.  We wish her all the best as she transitions to a Social Worker position in FCPS.  She will be missed.  Ms. Katherine Baisa joined us on Thursday.  She will be our new instructional assistant.  Welcome, Ms. Baisa!

We also welcomed some new families on Thursday afternoon.  They will now be in the Haycock boundaries for the 2024-25 school year due the Kent Gardens boundary changes. We look forward to warmly welcoming and embracing all the new families that choose to join us next year.

We hope to see many of you on Friday evening, February 2, for the PTA Bingo Night.  It promises to be a fun family evening.  See times and details below.

With appreciation for your partnership,

Liz Beaty, Principal embeaty@fcps.edu

Heather Boyd, AP  HABoyd@fcps.edu

Jody Delaney, AP  jmdelaney@fcps.edu
