Annandale High School Athletics and Activities

Atom Nation

We have started getting into district championship meets for some of our programs, which means the end of winter sports are coming but there is still plenty of time to catch the action at Annandale. Many of our individual athletes have qualified for regionals and continue to strive to qualify for the state competition. We are a few short weeks away from the start of spring sports so make sure to brush off those jackets and prepare to catch a lot of events that will be coming back to our outside facilities!

GO ATOMS!!!

The varsity Atoms traveled to Herndon Tuesday evening, where the Hornets shots the lights out to put the Atoms away late in the third quarter. The Atoms hosted Justice Thursday evening that started off with the Wolves winning in the freshman contest. The JV contest saw the Atoms down early but the defensive prowess came to fruition, as the Atoms held the Wolves to no points in the second half to capture the win. The varsity action saw a back and forth affair with the Atoms holding multiple leads before the Wolves pulled away to get the victory. The Atoms return home Tuesday evening for senior night vs Lewis.

Atoms Yard Signs

As we continue through the 2023-2024 school year, we aim to bring the community of Annandale closer together. In the Fall every student-athlete was given an Atoms yard sign to be displayed for the community to see. We are continuing that recognition as all of our Winter student-athletes have been provided a yard sign of their own!

Be on the lookout and when you see one make sure to show your support of the time and effort they are putting in to making the Annandale community proud!

Atoms Boosters Concession Stand Help

Special Ask... Atoms After School Snack Bar

As many of you know, the Atoms Athletic Boosters has been able to open our concessions stand after school for your children to grab a bite to eat prior to heading to their activities. If your schedule allows, please consider volunteering 1 day a week or even just 1-2 days a month. The hours are 3:15-4:15. This is a rare benefit in Fairfax County that we are able to provide for our kids, but we can’t do it without parent help. Please contact at odessapmurray@gmail.com or (703) 626-9647 if interested in helping.
