Emma Tukhi, a junior at Robinson High School in Fairfax County, Virginia, is passionate about science and wants to encourage more students to get involved in research.

She is part of the first International Research Olympiad (IRO), a competition created and run by student science researchers. IRO aims to provide research opportunities for middle and high school students and help them develop the skills they need to make meaningful contributions to research programs. Tukhi believes that science is the foundation of all knowledge and wants to inspire others to explore its potential. She is currently working as a research assistant in the bioengineering department at George Mason University and also leads the Girls Who Code Club at her school. The IRO competition is open to students from all over the world and registration is now open.

She was recently highlighted in WTOP.  You can read the article HERE!

Looking for research-based advice on how to raise children to be well-rounded and achieve their full potential, helping them learn to take on life's challenges, communicate well with others, and remain committed to learning?

These are the "essential life skills" that Ellen Galinsky has spent her career pursuing.

The good news is that there are simple everyday things that all families can do to build these skills in their children for today and for the future. They don't cost money, and it's never too late to begin.
