Upcoming Principal Coffee and Conversations

  • A reminder – please join our Principal, Ms. Statz are one of next week’s Principal Coffee and Conversations! They are scheduled for Tuesday January 30 at WPHS Library from 6-7:30pm and Wednesday January 31 at Sandburg Middle from 6-7:30pm. 

Wellness Day – Thursday January 25

  • Thursday we will host our Wellness Day.  For those not familiar, this was an event we started last year.  Today in Advisory students had the opportunity to select four sessions/workshops exploring a variety of ways to nurture their social, emotional, and physical wellness.  Students who may have been absent or did not select sessions today can do so tomorrow. Instructions are posted in Schoology. 
  • We will have a special bell schedule and students will attend their sessions throughout the morning.  Upon arrival Thursday students should report to 3rd Period for attendance. As its an Early Release Day we will dismiss at 12:55pm.  The full Bell Schedule is below.  We look forward to a great day!

Prospective Student (Non-FCPS family) Open House

  • Do you know a family who is considering enrolling their child at West Potomac for the 2024-25 school year and currently isn’t enrolled in an FCPS school? Please share with them that on Thursday January 25 from 2-3:30pm we will be holding an open house to learn more about West Potomac!
  • Interested families are asked to RSVP using this link although not required.
  • The event will occur in our school library just inside Door 1.
