Spring Hill ES Panther Press

A Note from Principal Briggs

Concert

Dear Panther Families,

We have had a music filled week with our 4th grade orchestra concert and 3rd grade musical performance.  It is wonderful to see so many talented musicians.

We are looking forward to our mid-year pep rally tomorrow to celebrate the end of the first semester and kick -off the new year.  Please have your student wear their grade level t-shirts tomorrow.

As a reminder, there is a two-hour early release tomorrow,Thursday, January 25 at 1:35 p.m. and no school on Friday, January 26.

As always, thank you for your continued support of Spring Hill ES.

Sincerely,

Amy Briggs

Valentine's Day

As Valentine’s Day is approaching, I wanted to review our school safety guidelines regarding celebrations/activities.  Each grade level is permitted three themed celebrations per year, (Fall Festival, Winter and End of Year).  Grade levels are permitted to have a small Valentine activity in honor of this holiday.  However, as was shared earlier in the year, there will be no balloons or food (of any kind) permitted.

Rise Against Hunger

We have had an overwhelmingly positive response to our Rise Against Hunger service learning initiative so far. Many of our students report taking the time they spent at home last week to do chores around the house, shovel driveways, and walk pets to earn money to donate toward feeding underprivileged families. Students have until Monday, Jan. 30 to contribute.  Here are links for additional ways to support:

  • Rise Against Hunger is a Tax-deductible organization, and any funding families/businesses donate online towards our goal is tax-deductible. You may make your tax-deductible donation today at Langley Pyramid Rise Against Hunger 2024
  • If your company makes matching contributions, please consider having them join you in making a tax-deductible donation today at Langley Pyramid Rise Against Hunger 2024 and help us Rise Against Hunger.

Upcoming Dates

  • January 25-   Pep Rally (wear grade level t-shirts)
End of 2nd Quarter-2HR early release
  • January 26-   Teacher Workday (No school for students)
  • February 9 -  General PTO Meeting
  • February 22 - Spelling Bee (4-6) 2:30 pm, cafeteria
