Valentine's Dance
Get your dancing shoes ready! The VES Valentine's Dance will be held on Friday, February 2 from 6 - 8 PM in the school gym. Admission to the dance is free, but you must RSVP by "purchasing" a ticket through MemberHub HERE. Every child and adult must have a ticket to enter as capacity is limited. Please note, the dance is ONLY for VES families and it is NOT a drop off event. The evening will end with the always popular Teacher Experience Raffle. Raffle tickets and information about the prizes can be found HERE. There is also a sign up genius for the dance HERE. We are looking for volunteers to help at the dance, as well as donations for the refreshments.

Read-a-thon
The Read-a-thon is back and kicks off on Monday, February 5! Information was sent home last week with your child. There are school-wide goals that the students will work together to achieve and receive rewards. As a way to encourage and provide more opportunities for reading time, the Read-a-thon committee has arranged to have the library open early every day from February 5 - March 1. Students can be dropped off starting at 8AM on these days, where they will be directed to the library for reading time until the bell rings. We need help to make this happen - please see the sign up HERE where you can volunteer for one (or more!) mornings to come in early and help
Magnet School Application and Lottery Information
The Magnet Program registration window will be open from Tuesday, March 5, through Friday, April 12, 2024. No late applications are accepted.
