Principal's Message

Dear Eagle View Families,

I trust this message finds you well and that the children are enjoying the snow day. It's always delightful to see them reveling in the joys of winter.

I would like to inform you that our Family STEM Night, originally scheduled for January 17th, has been rescheduled to May 21st. As we approach that date, more detailed information will be shared, ensuring that everyone is well-prepared for this exciting event.

In the meantime, we have some fantastic winter concerts lined up at Eagle View, showcasing the incredible talents of our students. The Winter Chorus Concert will take place on Wednesday, January 24th, at 7 PM. Following that, the Winter Strings and Band Concert is scheduled for Tuesday, January 30th, also at 7 PM.  I hope to see many of you there to share in the joy.

Additionally, our dedicated PTA is organizing "Cocoa with Kids" on February 2nd at 8 AM. This event not only provides a wonderful opportunity for you to connect with other Eagle View families but also offers a chance to engage with our staff members. There will be coffee for the adults, making it a warm and enjoyable gathering. Your presence will be highly valued, and I encourage you to take advantage of this occasion to strengthen our school community bonds.

Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to sharing these upcoming moments of celebration with you.

Warm regards,

KJ An

Principal

Due to inclement weather, Children’s Science Center Family STEM Night has now been rescheduled to May 21st.  This program offers interactive and engaging activities designed to excite students and their families about STEM. Family Science Night combines science learning and family bonding within the school community.   We look forward to seeing you at STEM Night on Tuesday, May 21st at 6 PM!  More information will be shared as we get close to that date.  Stay tuned!

What Families Can Do to Fight Drug Misuse

FCPS is committed to raising awareness about the opioid epidemic with our educators, parents/caregivers, and students. Together, we can help ensure our students thrive.

What can families do?

  • Show you disapprove of underage drinking and other drug misuse. More than 80% of young people ages 10-18 say their parents are the leading influence on their decision whether to drink.
  • Show you care about your child’s health, wellness, and success.
  • Show you are a good source of information about alcohol and other drugs. Find helpful resources on the FCPS Opioid Awareness webpage
  • Pay attention to your child and discourage risky behaviors.
  • Build your child’s skills and strategies for avoiding drinking and drug use. Talk with your child about what they would do if faced with a decision about alcohol and drugs, such as texting a code word to a family member or practicing how they will say, “No thanks.”

Spirit Weeks at Eagle View!
