Spring Hill ES Panther Press

A Note from Principal Briggs

Dear Panther Families,

Thank you to all of you who joined our PTO meeting this morning. We had a wonderful morning of learning at our Parent University. 'Raising a Kid Who Can' was the topic and provided parents with simple strategies for parents to raise adaptable and resilient children. We appreciate Dr. Tedesco, former Spring Hill parent and co-author for sharing her book and expertise with us.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Amy Briggs

FCPS School Year Calendar for 2023-24

snow

KEEP IN MIND! (fingers crossed?) SNOW DAYS: For the current school year, FCPS will be returning to its previous procedure for snow days — there will be no virtual learning days when school is closed due to bad weather. During snow days, students may still access Tutor.com, complete any supplemental learning opportunities recommended by their teachers, and view educational programming (available virtually and on public access television channels): Elementary school instruction: Red Apple 21. Eleven snow days are built into the existing FCPS calendar. Eliminating virtual learning days will allow us to maximize students’ in-person learning and provide equitable access to instruction and student services.
