Lemon Road Community News 1.7.23

Message from Mrs. Castillo

Poetry

What a fantastic start to the New Year!  I have enjoyed getting into classrooms and specials last week, welcoming new students, and seeing how much the kids really missed being in school over winter break.  Thank you also for the delicious breakfast on Friday for the staff - it was a huge success.

On Friday, our 4th graders shared their poetry with their classmates and parents.  It is wonderful to see so many parents and family members join us for these special events.  We are looking forward to the upcoming concerts and primary author’s visit coming soon!  These are really special experiences for the students.

Positivity Project: Prudence

Prudence

This week, our community will teach and reinforce the character strength of prudence.  Prudence means you plan for the future and achieve your goals by making careful everyday choices.  Prudence is the ability to do the right thing, at the right time, for the right reason. It's a future-oriented way of thinking that helps a person set goals, make plans, and have the discipline to accomplish them. It is cognitive – more a strength of the head than of the heart.
