Kiss-n-Ride Reminders

knr2

Thank you for paying attention to patrols and staff when they direct you to move forward when picking up your student(s) by car.

When to pass and when not to pass

AM - There is no passing during the morning Kiss and Ride as cars keep moving pretty often.

PM - We allow passing in the afternoon because students come out of the building at different times. We ask that you not do so until after you pass the handicapped parking spaces / the yellow curb.

Please be patient - many of our younger students can barely get out of a car by themselves, let alone with a backpack that weighs as much as they do.

Snow Day Information

First grade working on math games in Mrs. Trone's class.

School buses in snow.

For the current school year, FCPS will be returning to its previous procedure for snow days — there will be no virtual learning days when school is closed due to bad weather.

During snow days, students may still access Tutor.com, complete any supplemental learning opportunities recommended by their teachers, and view educational programming (available virtually and on public access television channels):

Eleven snow days are built into the existing FCPS calendar. Eliminating virtual learning days will allow us to maximize students’ in-person learning and provide equitable access to instruction and student services.
