Pyramid Choral Concert, Thurs., Mon., 1/8 @ 7:00pm in CVHS gym
Please join us on Monday, January 8 at 7:00pm in the CVHS gym for our Centreville Pyramid Choral Concert! Nearly 600 singers from CVHS, Liberty MS, Bull Run ES, Centre Ridge ES, Centreville ES, Colin Powell ES, and Union Mill ES will be performing. This awesome event hasn’t happened since 2020 and we’re so excited to bring it back to the community!
Curriculum Night
Centreville High School will be hosting our Curriculum Night on January 11, 2024. All parents and guardians are invited to attend. We will have a few programs for you to learn more about the academic advising process and course offerings.

Curriculum Fair Open House – Cafeteria, Library and 1st Floor Hallway – 6:45 – 8:15 PM – All subject departments will be represented to answer your questions about core classes, electives, PE, Honors, Advanced Placement, Academy Courses, ESOL and Special Education. The Career Center will also be open for you to visit.

Rising 9th Grade Course Registration Information – CVHS Auditorium – 6:30 – 7:15 PM – Student Services will provide an overview of the course registration process and factors to consider when selecting courses.

Academy Open Houses
Is your child interested in architecture and construction, information technology, or health science? FCPS high school academies will hold open houses for interested students beginning in mid-January. CVHS presently has students at Chantilly, Falls Church and Fairfax Academies, along with Classroom on the Mall at Fair Oaks.
A high school Academy is a center within a high school that offers advanced technical and specialized courses to prepare students for postsecondary education and/or career fields. Students enrolling in Academy elective courses will be provided with opportunities to participate in a variety of career experiences including shadowing, mentoring, or internships with local businesses.Learn more and view the calendar of Academy open houses.

CVHS Wildcat Achievements
Congratulations to our Esports Team
Over the winter break, the CVHS Esports Team competed at Shenandoah University and won their second VHSL state championship in League of Legends! Esports is booming in popularity, has become very competitive, and offers students many opportunities. Thank you to Coach Tad Rauluk (chem teacher) and Trevor Bodine (physics teacher) for their leadership as coaches. Go Wildcats!
CVHS Dance Team Placed 3rd in DC Dance Challenge
Congrats to our Centreville Dance Team! On December 10, the Wildcat Dance Team competed at the “UDA - DC Dance Challenge“ competition. They won 3rd place in the category of Small Group Varsity Jazz!
 
Robotics Team Excels in 2nd Competition of Season
The Robotics team brought home three trophies for our two teams in our second competition of the season! 11804 Stick-Shifts was in the winning alliance again, 9830 RobotLits was in the finalist alliance, and 9830 also won the Motivate award again. Seeing the two teams from CVHS compete against each other in the finals was so exciting! Here are the pictures of the students with their trophies and them competing in the finals.
