Dear Families,
Floris had our January Fire Drill this afternoon. The alarm would not silence properly. Out of an abundance of caution, the Fire Department was called. Fairfax County Fire and Rescue responded to Floris. All students and staff were already evacuated from the building in an orderly fashion in accordance with our emergency protocols, and everyone was determined to be safe and accounted for.
We want to thank school security and fire and rescue for their quick response and assistance in keeping our building, students, and staff safe. We were cleared to return to the building and have resumed regularly scheduled programming.
