Notes from the Nest

In our SEES school community, we S.O.A.R., meaning that we demonstrate: Support, Optimism, Acceptance, and Responsibility.

Dear SEES Families,

A warm welcome back to the nest after a much-needed winter break! I hope you all enjoyed the chance to recharge, reconnect, and create lasting memories with loved ones. As the new calendar year begins, I can't help but feel a surge of excitement for the remaining journey of our school year.

While the break offered a respite from the daily grind, I'm certain many of you, like myself, are buzzing with anticipation to dive back into the joy and routine of learning and community that thrives within these walls. We have exciting projects in store, challenging assignments, and thoughtful questions to ponder all waiting to unfold in the months ahead.

However, before we soar headlong into the whirlwind of academia, I want to offer a few tips for ensuring a successful and positive second half of the year:

Soaring High with Attendance:

  • Remember, attendance is the cornerstone of success. Every day you're present is a day you can participate, learn, and grow alongside your peers. Regular attendance isn't just a number; it's a commitment to yourself, your education, and our collective journey as a school family.
  • Prioritize sleep and healthy routines. A well-rested mind and body are crucial for optimal learning and focus. Make sure you're getting enough sleep and fueling your day with nutritious meals to keep your energy levels soaring.
  • Communicate openly. If you're facing any challenges, whether personal or academic, don't hesitate to reach out. We have a dedicated team of teachers, counselors, and support staff ready to help you navigate any bumps in the road.

Fostering a Positive Nest:

  • Embrace the power of kindness and respect. Let's treat each other with the same warmth and understanding we hope to receive. A smile, a helping hand, or a simple word of encouragement can make all the difference in someone's day.
  • Dive into the spirit of collaboration. Working together unlocks hidden potential and fosters a sense of belonging. Don't be afraid to share ideas, support your classmates, and celebrate each other's achievements.
  • Remember, learning is a journey, not a destination. Embrace the challenges, celebrate the breakthroughs, and never stop asking questions. Curiosity is the fuel that propels us forward, and our school is a haven for exploring and expanding our horizons.

Let's make the rest of this year one to remember! With dedication, positivity, and a dash of eagle spirit, we can soar to new heights together. Remember, the doors to our nest are always open, and we're here to support you every step of the way.

Onward and upward,

April Martin

Proud Principal

P.S. Don't forget to check out the upcoming events calendar for exciting activities and opportunities to connect with your fellow eagles!
