Woodburn Families,
Thank you for a great week. Our students are so excited to be back with their teachers and peers. This is because of all you do to to promote a love of learning at home and a result of the warm and welcoming classroom communities our teachers have established. Our students feel safe to learn and grow and we can't be stopped!
We hope you might consider joining our staff and family basketball team! The big game is on February 16th and no skills are needed. The students love seeing us on the court and it is such a fun night. More information can be found below.

Woodburn Staff and Family Basketball Game on Feb. 16th
It's that time of year. We are gearing up for our staff and family basketball game. We will play on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 7pm.
We are looking for interested parents and guardians to join the team. We are also looking for two coaches. Practices will be held throughout January. No skills needed...just fun!
Please email our PTA parent coordinator, Jenn Starkey, if you are interested in playing.
The following assessments are being administered in the coming months for select students. Families will be notified of student participation. You can reach out to Kelley Dauberman with questions.

Student Monitors Needed
Woodburn is looking for student monitors to join our staff. This is an hourly position. Please reach out to Katy at kjrichman@fcps.edu or 703-641-8200 if interested.
Student Monitors:
Description: Provides supervision of students throughout the school day to include but not limited to the classroom, hallways, lunch, recess, specials and at arrival/dismissal; helps maintain order and discipline and assists in managing the behavior of students; operates technology; performs administrative and non-instructional duties; ensures all layered prevention/safety protocols and procedures are implemented and followed; works with individual and small groups of students.
Hourly: $16.85/hr
