🎼Fairfax Carolers for Holiday Events
Just in time for the holidays! The Fairfax Carolers are now scheduling 30-minute entertainment slots for holiday parties, craft shows, work events, luncheons, etc. Donations requested. To schedule, please contact Choral Director Juliana Woodill at jcwoodill@fcps.edu.
🎁 South County High School Band Silent Auction
South County High School Band is hosting a silent auction fundraiser at the 18th Annual Lorton Holiday Extravaganza on Saturday, December 2, 2023. The auction will take place in the auditorium from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Nearly 3,000 shoppers are expected to converge on the South County High School campus for shopping, entertainment, and holiday fun! They have many amazing items ready to be auctioned (and adding every day)! Take a look! Some of the items include
- Signed sports memorabilia
- Round of golf for four
- Beach vacation house rental
- Mount Vernon family membership
- Signed movie posters and sheet music
- Family fun adventures
- Date night packages
- Winery and brewery tasting certificates
- Theater tickets
- Gift cards

🎺 Lake Braddock Secondary School Band Program Holiday Concert and Open House
The Lake Braddock Secondary School Band Program invites you to a Holiday Concert and Open House designed for children and young band students. Join the Bruin Symphonic Band as they play festive holiday tunes, see the Marching Bruins 2023 Halftime Show, and listen to various small instrumental ensembles including the Lake Braddock Jazz Band. Children may explore the “Bandieland” trail through the music department wing, collect treats and stickers in various shops, and learn more about instrumental music programs along the way. Treats will end the tour!
The concert and open house will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the Lake Braddock Little Theater. For more information view the Lake Braddock Band Program Holiday Concert and Open House video.
☃ Robinson Secondary School Tiny Tots Concert
The Robinson Secondary School Symphonic Band presents the 28th Annual Tiny Tots Concert. The concert is a wonderful opportunity for families and kids of all ages to share the joy of music and the magic of the holiday season. In addition, audience members will have the opportunity to meet their favorite characters after each show! Concerts will take place in Robinson’s Russell Theater via Door 1 as follows.
- Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 10 a.m.
- Friday, December 8, 2023, at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
The donation per ticket is $5 each (cash at the door) or $6 online. For group ticket sales of 10 or more, please email robinsontinytots@gmail.com. Groups will be seated in the orchestra, walk-in tickets will be seated in the balcony.

🍬 Edison Academy Gingerbread House Workshop
Edison Academy is hosting two Gingerbread House Workshops on Saturday, December 9, 2023. Academy culinary students will assist you or your child to create a unique gingerbread house for the holidays, and hot cocoa and cookies will be available afterward. Sessions will occur from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and 10:30 to noon in room H-128 (Door 11).
The workshop is recommended for ages 5 and up. Participants 13 and under must have an adult chaperone. The price is $45 and a minimum of four canned goods per house. The canned goods will be donated to the Koinonia Foundation Food Pantry. Due to limited space, there is a maximum of three participants per house.
Registration and payment is required by Friday, December 1, 2023.
❄ Mount Vernon High School Class of 2026 Winter Wonderland Breakfast
The Mount Vernon High School Class of 2026 is hosting a Winter Wonderland Breakfast on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Enter through Door 4.
In addition to breakfast, the following will be available:
- Gift wrapping ($10 per family)
- Raffle baskets ($5 for three tickets)
- Free photos with Anna, Elsa, and Olaf
Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children. They are available at the door via cash or check. Pre-sale online tickets are available through December 8 at MySchoolBucks.com.
⛄ Chantilly High School Performing Arts Tiny Tots
Join the Chantilly High School Performing Arts Department for holiday family fun at their Annual Tiny Tots Performance! Concerts will take place on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 9:30 and 11 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.

Join the Chantilly High School Performing Arts Department for holiday singing and dancing razzle-dazzle at their Annual Holiday Spectacular Performance! Performances will take place on Monday, December 11, and Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 7 p.m.
