Stenwood Hive Happenings

Hive Happenings Newsletter

Dear Stenwood Families,

Thank you to all of the chaperones who joined our 5th graders to the Spy Museum and our 4th graders to Jamestown!  We are so grateful for so many families that want to participate in our activities.  November was Family Engagement Month - outside of Thanksgiving Lunch and Veterans Day Breakfast, we had 220 family members sign into our VMS system.  We had over 445 family members for Thanksgiving Lunch and over 70 for Veterans Day Breakfast, so in total that is 735 family members in the month of November.  We know many of you were here multiple times, so thank you for partnering with us.  As you know, we value family engagement more than just in the month of November, so please continue to look for opportunities to come in for the grade-level Family Invite Events, Field Trips, and other volunteer opportunities.

We are hoping to start a before-school Go Club for our Stenwood students. For those unfamiliar, Go is an abstract strategy board game invented in China more than 4,500 years ago and enjoyed by millions of players worldwide.

Please contact Mr. Case if you are able to volunteer as a parent sponsor for this before-school club once a week. Experience and familiarity with the game is not necessary.

Elementary English Language Arts basal instructional resources may be accessed in person and online from November 15th, 2023, until noon on December 15th, 2023. Digital materials for public review and comment will be available on the Elementary Language Arts Basal Resource Review website. Hard copies of instructional materials will be available for review at:
