Staying Healthy

Cases of RSV, the flu, and other viruses often rise this time of year. It is important for students to wash their hands regularly and cover their coughs and sneezes. Please monitor your child’s health daily and keep them at home if they are sick. Visit FCPS' Health and Safety Guidance webpage for more tips.

Referral Process for Advanced Academics

Last month, Ms. Meade, our Advanced Academics Resource teacher shared about the levels of service for all students in FCPS and Mount Eagle. This week, she presented the process around making a referral for Full-time Cluster services. If you missed either of these presentations, we're sending them out through Talking Points this evening. Unfortunately, the slides are only in English. If you need assistance with translation, Lily Delcampo, our Family Liaison, can help.

Referral deadline for Full-time Cluster services: Friday, December 15 by email.

For more information about the referral process, visit the FCPS Advanced Academics page.

National Family Engagement Month

November is National Family Engagement Month! This month reminds us that families are children's first and most important teachers, advocates, and nurturers.  Over 35 years of research shows that the most effective way to increase student achievement is for families to be actively involved in their children's education. Family engagement is a shared responsibility between home, school, and the community. The importance of family engagement will be highlighted during the month of November as we celebrate and strengthen family-school partnerships together.

Your Partners In Education

We are honored to work with your family this year and will work everyday to ensure a safe and positive learning environment for your child. We can't do it alone. Please contact us when there is a question or concern, especially related to bullying. As a parent, you will often hear about something before staff might. Thank you for all your support.
