Dear Wolftrap Families,

Thank you to everyone who came to our Veteran’s Day assembly. A special thank you extended to our speaker Colonel Nora Marcos. We appreciate the service of all our veterans.  It was wonderful to see everyone in our gym, and our students showed FANTASTIC behavior. I’m so proud of them. Thank you!

LIBRARY VOLUNTEERS! Calling all 4th, 5th, and 6th grade parent volunteers! : The library would love to have parent volunteers this year! If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, below are the expectations for your role. Please feel free to email Mrs. Hardin if you have any questions- srhardin@fcps.edu

A volunteer in the Wolftrap Library has the option to:

  • Sort and shelve books on the “Ready to be Shelved” cart during the read aloud/lesson
  • Scan books for checkout, after receiving the training.
  • Read with students during checkout.
  • Help students with stations during checkout.
  • Encourage students to find books they are passionate about- get them excited to read!
  • Support students in their choice of book selection. Volunteers may not tell students what they cannot check out. The school library is a free choice environment.

**Please be considerate and do not sign up for every week. Many parents want to volunteer and we want to make room for everyone! Thank you! **
