Greetings, Eagle View Families!
We kicked off the second quarter this week by celebrating veterans through our annual Veterans Day Celebration. It was a beautiful celebration honoring our veterans in our community. We want to thank our specialists, Mrs. Albertson, Mrs. Smith, Mr. Niehoff, Mr. Spivey, Ms. Jun, Mr. Walby, and Mrs. Cortes, for planning and coordinating a beautiful celebration for our veterans. We also want to thank Ms. Beatty for leading the advanced band students with a stunning performance. Click here to see the pictures and videos from today's celebration.
This week, we also acknowledged our sixth-grade students for their good attendance behavior. We are proud of our sixth-grade students for demonstrating good attendance behavior for two months in a row. As we continue to work towards decreasing chronic absenteeism, we look forward to celebrating grade levels showing good attendance.
We look forward to seeing you at our Thanksgiving Luncheon. Please see below for detailed information about the Thanksgiving Luncheon.
Have a nice weekend!
Sincerely, KJ An Principal
We are pleased to invite you to our annual Thanksgiving Luncheon!
Due to the limited capacity of the cafeteria and parking, the Thanksgiving Luncheon will be held over two days. Grades 1, 3, 5, CSS, and Preschool Autism Classes will have their lunch on Tuesday, November 14th. Grades K, 2, 4, 6, and early childhood class-based preschool will have their lunch on Wednesday, November 15th.
Students in grades K, 2, 4, 6, and ECCB will eat lunch in their classrooms on Tuesday, November 14th, and students in grades 1, 3, 5, and CSS will eat lunch in their classrooms on Wednesday, November 15th. We encourage your child to bring a packed lunch from home on the day that he/she eats in the classroom. If your child decides to buy lunch on one of these days, a bagged lunch will be delivered to your child’s classroom during their regularly scheduled lunch time.
Our Thanksgiving Luncheon menu will consist of:
Roast Turkey w/stuffing Green Beans
Fresh Fruit Whipped Potatoes with Gravy
Milk Cranberry Sauce
In order to get everyone through the lunch line in a timely fashion, we are asking that you purchase your lunch ticket ahead of time from the school office. The price for lunch is $4.75 for adults and any non-school-aged child. To pre-purchase your lunch, please submit the exact dollar amount, as we will not be able to give change. You may send in cash or check (please make checks payable to Eagle View Food Service). Presale luncheon tickets will be on sale through Friday, November 10th. On the day of the luncheon, please sign in and pick up your tickets from the office. Parents do not need to purchase a ticket for children who currently attend Eagle View. The lunch price will be deducted from their lunch account if they buy Thanksgiving lunch. If they do not have money in their lunch account, they may bring $3.25 for lunch. Please RSVP and pre-purchase your tickets by Friday, November 10th.

We look forward to celebrating Thanksgiving with you at Eagle View on November 14th and 15th!
Boosterthon is Eagle View’s biggest fundraiser, and this year we added more fun and extra cool with an indoor Glow Run! The Glow Run – on November 16th in the gym - will deliver a neon experience that students will surely be talking about for the rest of the year. Parents are invited to make signs, dance, and cheer on their students while they run laps around the gym and raise money for our school.
We set our Boosterthon goal at $38,000, or approximately $60 per student, to fund technology upgrades and educational programs - such as STEM Week, Literacy Week, Spelling Bee, field trips and the Reflections Art Contest. We are asking families to help us find support in the community – neighbors, businesses, relatives — to fund improvements to Eagle View’s education and learning environments. Together we can have a big impact! Stay tuned for more details about how you can contribute and participate! Let’s Glow Eagle View!

The FCPS CARES Program is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story, so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees, specifically at Eagle View ES. |
