Principal's Message
As we closed out this first quarter, I hope you have had time to connect with teachers on your child's progress. I want to extend my thanks to our teachers for the time they have devoted to conferences over the past couple of weeks to try to connect with all families. I also want to thank our parents for partnering with us in this important work. Together we are Better!
In our short week, we accomplished a lot and have many activities in the coming days before Thanksgiving. I've separated parent engagement opportunities below so they do not get lost and you can mark them on your calendar.
Wishing everyone a wonderful week!
Sincerely, Stacy Kirkpatrick, Principal

Happy Diwali 2023
We wish all who celebrate a wonderful Diwali. Diwali is a festival of lights and one of the major festivals celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs & some Buddhists. The festival represents the symbolic victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. This year's Diwali artwork was created by Chantilly High School student Rijuta D. as part of the FCPS Observance Design Challenge for Students.

Thursday, 11/16 Thanksgiving Lunch
We ask that families not bring in outside food for our Thanksgiving day lunch. This day is already very busy with a special meal planned. Bringing outside food and treats complicates the day for our students.
Parents who are purchasing lunch to eat with their children are asked to use the child's lunch number to utilize money on MySchool Bucks lunch account. This will make the transaction faster for all students and parents. We will have some overflow seating in our pod and 123 as needed for our bigger lunches.
