The winter season kicked off this week with Winter sports tryouts. Each team had a lot of students trying out for a spot on a winter team. We are excited for the excitement that each program will bring this winter so don't miss out on all the action going at Annandale High School.

Winter Sports Tryouts
A reminder that Winter Sideline Cheer and Winter Indoor Track will hold their first day of tryouts Monday, November 13 after school! Freshman girls basketball is still taking any interested freshman looking to join the freshman girls basketball team. If you have questions about sideline cheer, indoor track, or freshman girls basketball, contact the coaches below!

Winter Sports Picture Schedule
Winter Olympics Camp
Annandale High School's will host Winter Olympics Camp at Poe Middle School during winter break, December 18-20. This is a great opportunity for your child to have an incredible time with our wonderful coaches for a very affordable price of $100. Camps run each day from 8:30am to 3:00pm. Campers can bring their lunch or purchase lunch at camp.

Fall Play - Radium Girls
November 17-18 - Fall Play Radium Girls - Come see our fall play, Radium Girls November 17-18! This TikTok viral play takes place in 1926, radium was a miracle cure, Madame Curie an international celebrity, and luminous watches the latest rage—until the girls who painted them began to fall ill with a mysterious disease. Inspired by true events, Radium Girls tells the story of female laborers who were poisoned and killed by their factory's radium-based paint.

Atoms Boosters Concession Stand Help
Special Ask... Atoms After School Snack Bar
As many of you know, the Atoms Athletic Boosters has been able to open our concessions stand after school for your children to grab a bite to eat prior to heading to their activities. If your schedule allows, please consider volunteering 1 day a week or even just 1-2 days a month. The hours are 3:15-4:15. This is a rare benefit in Fairfax County that we are able to provide for our kids, but we can’t do it without parent help. Partners for Safe Teen Driving
Included in Grade 10 Health & PE is one quarter, or 30-36 hours, of in-classroom driver education. To get your driver’s license in Virginia, you must successfully complete, or pass, the classroom portion of driver education. You must also attend a 90-minute parent-teen traffic safety program, Partners for Safe Teen Driving, or PSTD, with a parent/guardian. Annandale High School is hosting five (5) PSTD presentations this school year, one each quarter and two during the fourth quarter. They are free to students enrolled in Health & PE 10 at Annandale HS and begin at 6:30pm in the auditorium. You must attend with a parent/guardian, arrive ON TIME as the door is locked at 6:30pm, and you must remain the duration of the presentation for your attendance to be verified. Choose a date convenient for you and your parent/guardian. You may attend a session outside of your Driver Education quarter.
