Thanks to our families and PTA for our wonderful Cultural Arts assembly today.
From the Principal's Desk:
As the first quarter of the school year comes to a close, it's a great time to reflect on the learning that has taken place for your child at Louise Archer. One important aspect of learning is making connections. Students make connections between new information and what they already know, between different subjects, and between the classroom and the real world.
Making connections is an important part of learning. By helping students to make connections, we can help them to better understand and remember what they are learning, and we can help them to develop critical thinking skills and to see the world in a more interconnected way. We will continue to reflect on our learning and build off these skills and experiences as we begin the second quarter.
Connecting with our families is also very important to us. We are so excited to welcome our families here next Friday night for the PTA's Sock Hop event! Please stop by for pizza and ice cream floats in the cafeteria and the sock hop in the gym. As a reminder, students must be accompanied by an adult for the event. Please use our school lot and available parking on Nutley Street and other side street parking.
Enjoy the extended weekend and student holidays! We look forward to the start of Quarter 2 when we return on Wednesday, November 8th.
Honoring our Veterans 2023
Louise Archer honors all active, reserves, and veterans for Veterans Day 2023. Thank you for your service! If you completed a form with family information about those who serve or have served in our nation's military, please stop by to see their names on the bulletin board in our front hallway. We welcome everyone to come see our display when you stop by the school or when you attend the upcoming Sock Hop.
