A tour of the new space will be offered after the staff and students have settled last this year.
We are excited to announce our new brick fundraiser to support staffing at Wakefield Forest!
Deadline: October 27, 2023
Due to our school renovation, we have the opportunity to lay a new walkway and we want our Wakefield Family to be a part of it! For a donation of only $50.00, you can purchase a personalized brick that will be installed in front of the building.
Bricks can be engraved with a name, message, or dedication of your choice. This is a wonderful opportunity to show your support for our school and leave a lasting legacy for future generations. Mr. Gray and Ms. Prindle will present information on the AAP referral process Monday, October 30th at 7:00 PM via Zoom.
Students in grades 2-6 may be screened for full-time services to begin in the fall. All Level IV referral forms and optional materials are due to the AART at Bush Hill ES. Decisions will be mailed home directly from the AAP Office in the spring.
The deadline for submitting AAP Full-Time (level IV) referrals and all optional materials is December 15. Forms and information about the screening process are located on the AAP Website. All materials must be submitted to Mr. Gray (awgray1@fcps.edu) no later than December 15.
Students can dress as their favorite character from a book, tv show or movie. Make sure to dress appropriately for school: No full face masks, weapons or weapon look-a-likes. Be sure that you can still function in all typical school activities.
We have been working with the Region 5 equity team to develop a lesson for students on The Power of Our Words in grades 4th - 6th. The goal of this lesson is to help our students be more mindful of the language they are using, as well as the importance of understanding the impact rather than intent. These lessons are planned for November. If you are interested in previewing the lesson, please join Principal Prindle via Zoom on November 1st at 5:00 PM.
Would you like to be part of the WFES Green Team? We will have our first meeting Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria. All students, parents and guardians are welcome.
Our mission is to encourage student driven environmental stewardship through hands-on activities in our school and community. These activities might include reducing waste, conserving energy, planting and maintaining wildlife habitats or tending to gardens. Students must be accompanied by an adult. Questions? Contact Mary Muratore- mpmuratore@fcps.edu
