Fox Mill Focus--October 20, 2023

Happy Friday, Fox Mill Families,

What an exciting day to end the week. Our Fun Run was a huge success. We would like to extend a huge thank you to the PTA and especially to Mrs. Catherine Wigton for organizing and soliciting the support of parents to execute this successful event. The PTA exceeded the $25,000 goal to install picnic tables in the Atrium and on the playground. The students were very excited to see Mr. Moose dressed as Barbie and Ms. Denton dressed as Ken. Please see the Fox Mill Website for pictures.

Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid Due Nov 17

Now Available in SIS ParentVUE Until Oct 27

The federal presence in our area and the significant tax exemptions available to federally connected personnel, businesses, and agencies has qualified Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) to be eligible for federal Impact Aid grants. The Federal Impact Aid survey results in an additional $3 million in grants each year from the U.S Department of Education.  These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers. The more federally connected students a school has, the more that school earns in grant dollars.

THIS YEAR, Parents can complete this survey by logging into your SIS ParentVUE account. **PREFERRED METHOD** The online version is available now UNTIL OCT 27.

For assistance completing the survey via ParentVUE:  https://www.fcps.edu/node/49068
