Congrats to everyone who worked hard on their pumpkins - it was a tough choice!
🚶🍁A Big Walktober THANK YOU!

During the month of October, staff focused on their physical wellness and competed in teams in a “steps” challenge to record the most steps. We had THREE teams hit over 3 MILLION steps during the month! That’s an average of 1,312 team miles for the month! As a staff we walked over TEN THOUSAND miles!
Mosaic staff want to give a HUGE thanks to the following companies and individuals for their help with our Walktober school-wide competition. We couldn’t have done it without these supporters as well as Jenny Holliday and Sarah Erdman from our PTA helping us out!
Wegmans Fairfax is proud to support their local teachers and local families with gift card donations for healthy snacks and meals!
Mosaic Staff would also like to thank Nicole Zarou and her partners at Pearson Smith Realty, Goosehead Insurance, and Buckingham Mortgage for their donations for our Walktober schoolwide prizes. Check them out on Instagram: @nexthomewithnicole @gooseheadinsuranceagency @leighannesellshomes or at their websites for any of your home buying needs!
We would also like to thank F45 Fairfax, Burn Boot Camp Fairfax, and Core Power Yoga Fairfax for coming to our school for offering a workout class for staff every Wednesday this month!
🍬Candy Wrapper Collection
Mosaic SCA and Mosaic Get2Green are partnering with Trash or Treasure to reduce waste and keep trash out of landfills. We will be collecting candy wrappers from all students from October 31-November 11th. Just bring your empty wrappers in, drop them in a designated box in the lobby of the school, and feel good about reducing your waste! Trash or Treasure will then turn our waste into something useful like hard plastic items and dog waste bags!

🗳️ Calendar Update for March 5 Presidential Primary
The Fairfax Board of Elections has requested that schools be closed on Tuesday, March 5, to accommodate the administration of the 2024 presidential primary election.
March 5 will be a school holiday for students and a virtual School Planning Day. Central offices and school offices will remain open. SACC will remain open, as it does on other professional work days.
📝Federal Impact Aid Survey: Now Online

FCPS is asking all families to fill out a Federal Impact Aid Survey. To make it easier, the form is now available online in SIS ParentVUE.
Completing this form for each school-aged child in every household is important because information from this survey results in an additional $3 million in grants each year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers.
Once logged in to SIS ParentVUE, click “Online Packets” in the top right corner. Then, select “Federal Impact Aid Survey.” Get more information.
Need to Register for ParentVUE?
