Fairfax Academy,
We have had an exciting two weeks with amazing college visits and an awesome new partnership with the Smithsonian. Thank you to Mr. Smith, Ms. Hard, and Mr. Balthrop for putting together such an awesome experience for so many students. Follow our social media accounts for more details in the coming weeks!
We are gearing up for our 5th annual Career Experience Expo next Friday. Students wanting to participate need to return paperwork this week. Students who have signed up for the event will receive a link in the coming days from Ms. Hard with information on how to select their sessions. We cannot wait to spend the day with our incredible students and having some time to explore the industry together.
A reminder to let us know if your student will be absent. Attendance contact information is at the bottom of this message. We also want to emphasize how important it is for students to be here as much as possible. We will be connecting with students in the coming weeks who are not attending as frequently as they need to to be successful.

 Career Experience Expo is Friday, October 27th! Field Trip packets for full-day participation are still being collected through 3pm Monday, October 23rd. Students can access the packet digitally using their FCPS login HERE. Completed forms must be returned (no later than 3pm Monday) to the Academy Office, Ms. Hard (Career Experience Specialist) in E125, or via email to Ms. Hard at amhard@fcps.edu.
Students that have turned in their forms will receive an email from Ms. Hard with a registration link and link to the presenter website. Sessions are first come, first served. Registration must be submitted no later than 3pm on Tuesday, October 24th. Students participating in the Expo that do not register for their sessions will be placed into open sessions. Once students have been placed, they will not have the option of switching sessions.
