PTO Meeting with Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist

Cooper Middle Schools Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist will be presenting at the PTO General Membership Meeting on October 20th at 9:00. Topics include trends, prevention strategies, learn about Narcan and an optional quick 5-10 Narcan training after the meeting.

Please Join the PTO!

We Need You

We have gained some ground on our membership campaign, but need your help to fully fund the 2023-24 school year budget. With only 143 seventh grade families, and 107 eighth grade families participating, we have collected $27,860 in membership dues and fees, against a budget of $50,000.  That means we have only funded 56% of our current budget!  Additional members and donations are necessary to close the gap of $22,140.

The PTO continues to support our students and staff, through your donations.  Items funded this year via the budget and the first round of appropriations process include:

  • two software licenses for school wide student use:  $4309
  • iPads for use by ELL and Special Ed students:  $1512
  • teacher OT in support of our Model UN club:  $1050
  • Omnikin ball for use by PE students:  $489
  • lecture hall furniture:  $30,000 (Covid year and construction reserve funds)

Plans to provide additional curriculum, academic, and ASA support, SCA events such as the second annual Cooper dance, staff appreciation endeavors, and an additional round of appopriations will need to be adjusted if we are unable to meet our goal.

Please join the PTO and donate today!  Membership is $26/family, plus a suggested $125 donation per student.

To join, go to www.pay4schoolstuff.com.  Thank you for your support of our Cooper students, staff and parent community!
