March 5 will be a school holiday for students and a virtual School Planning Day. Central offices and school offices will remain open. SACC will remain open, as it does on other professional work days.
We had an eventful week at the Forest. Check out a few of our photos from this week.
Congratulations to our new SCA officers!

Fourth Grade was excited to attend a concert by the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center!
Hero Day- Jesus and Rosie the Riveter (Dominic Cornwell and Mrs. Betz)
Unity Day- Mrs. Malinowski's 4th grade class wearing their grade level color for spirit day.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, some of our staff wore pink for Unity Day.
Our 2nd graders had lots of fun on their field trip to the Mount Vernon Estates.
Thank you to NFS Community for Supporting our Book Fair!
Thank you to all our amazing supporters who helped make our 2023 Book Fair a huge success! We sold over $14,000 worth of merchandise, raised over $3,000 for the school and library. We also had $1650 in cash donations funding 96 student scholarships and $395 for teacher books. Parents also directly purchased over 70 books for teachers. Most importantly, students had a wonderful time visiting the fair and finding great books to read. Thank you to everyone for making this important event happen for our students.
Thank you to all who helped with the fair. It would have been impossible without you.
