Principal's Message

Greetings Twain Families.

This week we were given a unique opportunity to attend The First Lady’s “Girls Leading Change” event to celebrate International Girls Day and honor 15 young ladies from across the country who are making positive and impactful change in their communities. Thirty-three students from our cross-country team and our robotics/STEM program traveled to The White House to be present for the program and the reception that followed. Of course, our students represented themselves, their families, and our school in a positive manner as they had a once in a lifetime experience. They exhibited great excitement for the event and curiosity in what it takes to truly implement change and have an impact on those around them.

Of course, events like this do not present themselves frequently, but the opportunities to “Be the Change” in our local, national, and global community are only limited by the imagination and will of our young Tigers. Personally, I am inspired by our students’ potential and how they can, and will, make the world around them a better place.

Thank you for sending us such a talented group of young people each and every day.

Humbly,

Matt
