Wednesday, October 11, 2023 – PSAT Day for students in grades 10 and 11. SAT day for students in grade 12 who have already signed up. There will be a 2 hour early closing.

Grade 9 – DO NOT report to school – students can use the day to complete any work assigned by teachers.

Grades 10 and 11 – FCPS has funded all 10th and 11th grade students to take the PSAT. They should bring their laptop fully charged, charger, pencil/pen and student ID. Students will test in their ROAR (homeroom) classes. Students may bring a handheld calculator to use on the math sections. There is a calculator built into the testing app. Handheld calculators will not be provided by the school. School will end at 12:55pm. Parents and guardians of students who have been approved by the College Board to receive extended time on the PSAT have already been contacted via e-mail about when we expect their students to complete the test on October 11.

Grade 12 – Students who previously signed up to take the SAT will report to school. All other 12th grade students DO NOT report to school – students can use the day to complete any work assigned by teachers. School will end at 12:55pm. Students should bring #2 pencils and a handheld calculator to the SAT. Handheld calculators will not be provided by the school. Parents and guardians of students who have been approved by the College Board to receive extended time on the SAT have already been contacted via e-mail about when we expect their students to complete the test on October 11. A reminder that students who will participate in the SAT will receive an e-mail message which will provide more information including their test locations. The message will be sent to the students’ fcpsschools.net e-mail addresses in the next few days.
