National Custodian Appreciation Day

Monday, October 2nd was National Custodian Appreciation Day.  We celebrated our amazing custodial staff, Angela, Ingris, Richard and Steve(pictured above) for everything they do to make Mountain View shine!!💚


October is National Principals Month

In recognition of National Principals Month we have the opportunity to honor the best Administrative team FCPS has to offer.  Thank you to Principal, Catherine Stone, Assistant Principals, Jennifer CrumpStrawderman, Susan Lee (not pictured), Michael Salaita and Kim Witeck.  We are a better school because of them!!💚


Dates to Remember

  • October 9: Staff Development Day - NO SCHOOL
  • October 11: SAT/PSAT Day - 2 HOUR RELEASE

SAT/PSAT Day: October 11

Please keep in mind the general participation plan outlined under “Schedule and Logistics for Exam Day” in the PSAT/NMSQT and SAT testing memos linked below:  

  1. Grade 9 students do not attend school on exam day
  2. Grade 10-11 students take the PSAT/NMSQT, with limited exceptions
  3. Grade 12 students who have registered to participate in the SAT; those choosing not to take the SAT do not attend school this day (see TM #011-24)

Pre-registration for a Community Conversation is not required but will help us plan. Childcare and interpretation services will be provided for all events based on staff availability.
