PSAT/SAT School Day – Wednesday, October 11th
All students taking the PSAT & SAT were emailed their specific testing information. Parents were copied on the email.
9th Graders- Stay home and do not report to Langley HS. Teachers will not provide work for students to complete on 10/11. However, students may have work previously assigned by their teachers to complete that is due 10/12 or later.
10th & 11 Graders- Report to Langley HS by 8:00 am to take the PSAT. All 10th & 11th grade students were automatically registered for the PSAT. The exam is digital, so do not forget your fully charged device. Forgetting the device may impact your ability to test on 10/11.
12th Graders- Only the 12th graders who completed the intent to participate form were registered to take the SAT. Report to Langley HS by 8:00 am to take the SAT. Seniors who did not sign up for the SAT should not attend school for the day.
All students testing should bring
- Two or more No. 2 pencils (not mechanical)
- Graphing Calculator
- Water and snacks. Snacks may be consumed during breaks.
- Fully charged Chromebook
- Photo ID (school Id, passport or driver’s license)
Bus transportation will be provided for standard and extended time test takers that opted in late bus transportation. The standard test should end around 12:30 with a 1pm bus pick up while the extended time exam will around 2pm with a 3pm bus pick up.

College Fair
College Fair Sunday, October 15th, 4-7 p.m.
Eagle Bank Arena at George Mason University Approximately 250 colleges and universities

Upon registration, students will receive a barcode allowing college representatives to retrieve student information electronically. Barcodes can be scanned from mobile devices. Sponsored by the Fairfax County Public Schools Instructional Services Department in coordination with the Office of Admissions at George Mason University.
Virtual Postsecondary Night
Monday, October 16 and Tuesday, October 17, 5:00 p.m.
Join us for Fairfax County Public Schools Two Night Postsecondary Event and participate in one or all of the live virtual sessions. You will learn how to be better prepared for the next chapter of your educational journey.

Freshman Class Dinner
Monday, October 16th from 6 -7:30pm
Langley High School Cafeteria
Class of 2027 students and their families are invited to mingle and meet our administrator, class sponsors, and other families at the Freshman Class Dinner. Dinner will be catered by Cafe Rio. Tickets are $20 per person and are non-refundable. Purchase your tickets on My School Bucks by October 12th. This will be one of the only class-wide events of the year, and is our main fundraiser. You won’t want to miss it!

Parent volunteers needed for hearing & vision screenings:
Please volunteer for the annual hearing and vision screening which will take place on Tuesday, October 24 and Wednesday, October 25. We need 10 volunteers for each class period when the screening will occur. Sign up using this link.

Come join Directory of Student Services, Dr. Braden Peterson for a New Family Forum/Q&A on Student Services Resources: meet the Student Services Department including counselors, social worker, school psychologist and career counselor on Thursday, October 26 from 9:00 – 10:00 am in the Lecture Hall.
