KPES Book "Vending Machine"
During your child's birthday month they will be invited to the lobby to choose a free book from the Book "Vending Machine." Students will be able to choose from non-fiction books, chapter books, or picture books. Our wonderful librarian, Mrs. Woll is helping organize this opportunity and we are grateful for our PTA and their support of this new initiative at KPES.
Please note: July birthdays will be celebrated in June and August birthdays will be celebrated in Feb for their half birthday.

Dr. Recess Assembly
Today our students enjoyed an assembly with Dr. Recess. Students were able to interact and learn new games for collaborative play at recess. The Dr. Recess Assembly & Playground Games program is an on-site assembly and games program that promotes the importance of being active and living a healthy life by using developmentally appropriate games to teach social/emotional skills, thinking skills, and motor skills to elementary school children. During today's recess, all grade levels participated in these same engaging games.
