Students Around the Towne

Hello LTES FamiliesĀ

Happy Fall!Ā As the leaves begin to change color and the air gets cooler, we know that fall is a time of transition for many families.Ā Children may be adjusting to a new grade level, new teachers, and new friends. Families may be juggling work, school, and extracurricular activities.Ā We want to remind you that we are here to support you and your child during this time of change.

Each one of us is unique, and every student matters. If your childĀ  is having a difficult time with this transition or with attending class, please speak with a trusted adult at school. There are solutions.Ā

Click here to see this video of how everyone belongs at school. Visit our Attendance webpage for resources on attendance.

Attend today, achieve tomorrow! LTES staff appreciates our partnership with you and will do whatever it takes to ensure your little Lion is seen, belongs, and is appreciated around the Towne.

With much appreciation,

Ms. Padmore, Principal, Ms. Moore, and Mrs. Zamora, Assistant Principals

🚌 Keeping Our Lions Safe On the Bus

LTES has several bus routes that bring about 200 students to and from school. In order to keep all Lions safe, we need your help as some Lions are having difficulty during the bus ride. Please help us maintain safety on the bus ride to and from school by reminding your child to follow our safety expectations while on the bus. To be safe on the bus, all Lions need to:

  • Remain seated at all times
  • Stay seated until the bus has fully stopped at their drop-off location
  • Allow younger students to exit the bus firstĀ
  • Follow the bus driver’s and patrols’ directions
  • Use a quiet voiceĀ
  • Keep hands and feet to self and away from windows

Please note:

  • Kindergarten and Head Start family members should be prepared to show identification when students are exiting the bus.
  • Kindergarten students riding on afternoon school buses will be returned to school unless they are met at the bus door by a parent, guardian, caregiver, or sibling who is middle school age or higher and asked for by name.
  • Family and Early Childhood Program (FECEP)-Head Start-Pre-School, FECEP-Head Start, and pre-school students will be returned to school unless they are met at the bus door by a parent or another responsible adult who is 18 years of age or older and named in writing by the parent.

Thank you for helping us to keep our Lions safe to and from school! šŸ¦šŸ’™šŸ’›
