We had a very special guest on Monday, September 11th at our BTSN. Dr. Reid stopped by Silverbrook to show her support, she spoke with our PTO President, other parents, and teachers. Dr. Reid is invested in seeing FCPS students and communities.

Come one, come all to our Silverbrook & PTO Back to School Bash and Movie Night. Don’t miss the fun on Friday, September 29 beginning at 6:00PM! Order food via Seahawk Shop (Order early) or purchase goodies at the event.  Bring your chairs, blankets, and bug spray for your movie viewing pleasure (Bugs Life). Looking forward to seeing everyone.



Afterschool Programs

Registration for afterschool programs sponsored by the Silverbrook PTO and Baroody Camps starts next Tuesday, September 19 at 12:00 pm. Classes will start on October 10 and run for 7 - 8 weeks. If classes are full, sign up for the waitlist, and Baroody will do their best to work through the waitlists. To speed up the registration process, families are encouraged to create an account ahead of time before registration opens. For more information, visit PTO AFTERSCHOOL CLUBS . Information Session for Substitute Teachers and Instructional Assistants

Learn more about becoming a substitute teacher or instructional assistant at a virtual information session on Wednesday, September 20, from 2 to 3 p.m. Register for this session.

From September 15 to October 15, FCPS recognizes and celebrates the histories and cultures of the members of our community who trace their heritage to Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Friday, September 15, is a half-O day in recognition of Rosh Hashanah, which begins at sundown. Half-O days are full school days, but important events will not be held after school on those days. See the complete school year calendar.

Don’t forget to check the Lost & Found for missing jackets, water bottles, & lunch boxes.  Silverbrook will donate all found items two times per year to the Lorton Community Center. (December 15, 2023 and June 13, 2024)
