Dear Spring Hill Families,
It was another wonderful week at Spring Hill! Today, our PTO held their first meeting. We had an amazing turnout. Please join our fabulous PTO to become more involved in our school.
If you use the Kiss & Ride, please keep the following in mind to ensure the safety of our students and keep the line moving:
1. Parents should not be getting out of cars to assist students. Our teachers will assist students if needed.
2. Please teach your child how to get in and out of the vehicle in a safe manner and enter and exit on the sidewalk side.
3. Do not try to go around other vehicles. There are cones to guide traffic.
4. Please pull up as far as possible in the line to avoid backing up traffic.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Amy Briggs

FCPS School Year Calendar for 2023-24
For your convenience, we have created a beginning of the check list. Click to access the form. The form contains live links to relevant documents and forms, you will just need to hover over each item for the link to activate.
Emergency Care & Health Form
The Health Information Form (HIF) (SS/SE-71) and the Emergency Care Information form (SS/SE-3) provide valuable information regarding student health conditions. These forms are critical in the early identification of students who may need healthcare support in the educational environment. Along with the development of Healthcare Plans (HCP) and Action Plans, the Public Health Nurses (PHNs) utilize the information contained in the HIF to develop teaching strategies for FCPS staff in order to meet the requirements of Regulation 2104 Health Services-School Health-Related Needs.
For SY23-24, these forms will be required for all students. Enrolling parents/guardians who have a SIS ParentVUE account may submit them electronically by using the Online Verification/Update packet.
For families without SIS ParentVue accounts, forms can be located in the Back to School packets and on the General Registration Forms page.
Parent Consent for Digital Resources
The Digital Resource Parent Consent process is well underway for the 2023-2024 school year. September 29, 2023, is the due date for submitting the Digital Resource Consent Form, to ensure it falls after Back to School Nights. Parents will be able to submit or change their consent throughout the school year.
Parents are able to opt out their child out of any of the activities listed on this website
Each student will receive a free T-Shirt to be worn on Field trips and Field day. Please complete the Order form so we can order a shirt for your student. Please complete a separate form for each child that attends Spring Hill.

Don't wait - register today! Class size is limited. Please read the OSA Policies before registering. Registration is open to all students, with priority given to active PTO members (2023-24 dues paid). Join the PTO before registering!
Create/Update Your Online Directory Account!
The PTO-sponsored Student Directory is a great way to connect with other Spring Hill families.
An updated directory site is here for the 2023-2024 school year! To be able to access the directory, you must visit this year’s site to create a new account (if you’re new to Spring Hill) or update your account (if you are a returning Spring Hill family). AtoZ Connect manages our private online directory for the exclusive use of Spring Hill students, parents and staff.
FCPS’ Student Rights and Responsibilities document (SR&R) explains expectations for student behavior and adult responses to enhance school safety and to create a fair, equitable, and supportive school environment. In late June, the School Board approved changes to the SR&R for the 2023-24 school year. Updates include a revision of dress code expectations, bystander expectations for students witnessing harmful or unsafe behaviors, bullying, and substance abuse responses. Read Superintendent Dr. Michelle Reid’s letter to families regarding the SR&R.
Parents/caregivers should talk to their child(ren) about expectations for this school year. Also, please log in to SIS ParentVUE and sign to acknowledge your review of the SR&R, or sign and return the signature sheet to your child’s school by Friday, September 29.

Attention 5th & 6th Grade Families
We are TJ Investigative Science Outreach, a student-led organization at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. We will be hosting our 11th annual science fair on March 16, 2024 and we would like to invite 5th-8th grade students from your school to participate. Admission to the science fair is completely free.
Participants will complete a research project of their choice and present at the fair in-person on March 16, 2024. We help students prepare for this fair by holding multiple sessions to teach them important skills in STEM like brainstorming, collecting data, presenting, writing an experiment summary, using statistics, creating an experimental diagram, etc.
Our first interest/brainstorming session is Friday October 6th, 2023 at 6:00 pm. We will be holding this session in-person at TJHSST. During this session we will go over the goals and guidelines of this fair and introduce students to a multitude of project ideas. All interested students should sign up using the form.
