Therapeutic Arts Science & Growth Mindset After School Workshop
This workshop encourages kids to develop their own creative voice, helps build emotional intelligence and improves cognitive and motor skills. And it’s fun too! The program received positive reviews from parents last year. This year’s themes will include activities focusing on self care, self compassion, gratitude, and more.
When: Thursdays, 9/21 – 10/19, from 4:15 – 6:00 p.m.
Who: Ages 6-12

 Loudon United
Join your fellow Dranesville families on Saturday, October 7th at our first PTA-sponsored field trip to see Loudon United at Segra Field. If we sell 50+ tickets, students will have the opportunity to sit on the field sideline as teams warm up!

 Dragon Runners
Runners take note: Dragon Runners will meet on Mondays & Wednesdays starting September 11.
A running program for 3rd-6th graders, the fall session of Dragon Runners will run Mondays & Wednesdays from 4:15 – 5:30 p.m. from September 11 – November 28, 2023.
This exciting program is aimed at strengthening students in body and spirit by combining group activities with running. The programs’ mission is to encourage students to live their full potential by inspiring healthy friend, family, and community relationships, as well as to develop strength and endurance in the sport of running

Dragon Days

The 2023-2024 Dragon Days program will kick off this September. Parents, guardians, or family members are invited to spend specific Fridays throughout the year volunteering in the school.

 Chess Club
Presented by Snow Chess. Open to students in 2nd-6th grade, students will engage in fun, low-pressure chess instruction and play in a controlled scholastic environment. Interactive lessons are taught by a US Chess Federation experienced adult chess teacher.
Dates: Tuesdays - 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 10/31, 11/14, 11/21, & 11/28
Time: 8:05 a.m.- 9:05 a.m.
