We look forward to the third week of the school year kicking off tomorrow after a beautiful long weekend!
On Friday morning beginning at 8:20, we welcome all LRES parents to join us for an informal Principals' coffee in the cafeteria. We will host these events quarterly this year to give parents the time to ask questions, hear about LRES programs, and connect with the administrators, PTA board, and family liaison. Have a question? Submit it here and we will be sure to address it with the group or follow up with you individually. Refreshments will be served. Please allow time for parking and bring your photo ID to scan before entering the cafeteria. All visitors must bring their photo ID each time they visit to ensure a safe environment for our students and staff.
The weather will be hot this week! We will monitor outdoor recess, PE, and outdoor lunch based on the temperatures and heat index.
Did someone at Lemon Road go above and beyond to support you or your child this week? Consider submitting FCPS CARES entry!

FCPS’ Student Rights and Responsibilities document explains expectations for student behavior and adult responses for school safety and to create a fair, equitable, and supportive school environment. Parents should talk to their child about expectations and log in to SIS ParentVUE and sign to acknowledge your review of the SR&R by Friday, September 29.
We welcome all parents/guardians to our annual Back to School Night on Thursday, September 14. This adult-only evening gives parents & guardians the opportunity to visit the school, meet their child's teacher, and hear about the curriculum and events for the year. Each classroom teacher will offer two in-person sessions and during the intermission our specialists will be available in the gym, library, or cafeteria to answer questions about programs and opportunities for students.
Classroom Teacher Session 1: 6:00 - 6:40
Specialists Meet and Greet: 6:40 - 7:00
Classroom Teacher Session 2: 7:00 - 7:30
This week, all Lemon Road students will talk about teamwork in morning meetings and closing circles. Teamwork is the ability and willingness to place overall group success as a higher priority than individual achievement. Those who demonstrate strengths in teamwork often work to help all group members find success. These individuals are willing to commit time and resources in order to further group goals and help toward the greater good.
